Overfit check

Do I need to know how to code?
No. Your AI writes the code and OptAlgo checks it. You can still read, download and keep every strategy.py, and developers can drive everything through the REST API. If you prefer charts, the TradingView templates are click-only.
What is the honesty grade?
Every backtest gets a grade from A to D. A means every fill was settled on real data with fees, funding and exchange rules. B relies on a few standard assumptions, C is usable with caveats the findings explain, and D is not realistic and should be fixed before you trust it.
How does OptAlgo detect overfitting?
It counts how many variants of your strategy you tried on the same data in the last 30 days and computes a deflated Sharpe ratio: the chance your result beats what the best of that many worthless variants would reach by luck. Research runs add walk-forward, cross-validation and Monte Carlo tests on data the strategy never saw.
Can my AI trade with real money?
Chat connectors (Claude.ai, ChatGPT) are paper-only and can never touch real money. A strategy goes live only when you confirm it in the OptAlgo app, on a Plus or Pro plan. API keys you create can carry a live-trading scope with server-enforced limits on allocation, leverage and daily loss.
