What is an MCP server?
The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets AI assistants call tools from other services. OptAlgo's MCP server gives Claude and ChatGPT tools for market data, backtesting and paper trading.
Is the OptAlgo connector free?
Yes, on every plan including Free. Only running a backtest uses quota. Validation, market data and paper trading do not.
Can the connector place real trades?
No. Connectors are paper-only and can never trade real money or change a live bot. Live trading happens only in the OptAlgo app, after you confirm.
How do I disconnect?
Open AI agents in the OptAlgo app and disconnect the chat. Access stops immediately.
