sample data

01

Markets

OKX symbols for live trading. Backtests run on Binance's 1-minute history for the matching pair as a proxy, and the findings say so. Paper trading uses OptAlgo's paper exchange on live prices.

02

Connecting

Create an API key on OKX with trade permission, no withdrawal, and an IP restriction, then add it to an exchange connection in the app. OptAlgo stores the secret hashed and encrypted.

03

What the bot does on OKX

Native stop-loss and take-profit orders, trailing stops, allocation-based sizing, reconciliation from OKX order state after a disconnect. Works with TradingView signal bots and hosted strategies.

04

Limits

Allocation, leverage and daily-loss caps apply before any order reaches OKX. Live trading on a hosted strategy needs your confirmation in the app.

OKX trading bot FAQ

Can I backtest on OKX data?

Not yet. Backtests use Binance 1-minute history for the same pair; live and paper trading run on OKX.

Which OKX permissions does the key need?

Trade only. Never withdrawal. Add an IP restriction.

Does OptAlgo need withdrawal permission?

No. The API key only needs trading permission. Funds stay on the exchange; OptAlgo cannot move them.

Can I use a sub-account?

Yes. OptAlgo sub-accounts map to their own exchange connection, so bot capital stays ring-fenced from the rest of your portfolio under one plan.
